Webpart catalog : new "Call to Action" Webpart

Sharepoint "Call to action" webpart will new be available inside Powell webpart catalog

The Call to Action webpart lets you create a button with a call to action for users with a background, link and text.

Contribution: Image optimizations, be able to reduce size images in contribution forms

Now, when selecting or editing an image within a content form, contributors have the option to optimize its size for improved visibility and performance.

Selection/Edit: When users select or edit an image within a content form, a new "Optimize" button is available.
Size Check: If the image exceeds 200KB, a message alerts the user to potential visibility issues.
Optimization: Clicking on the "Optimize" button resizes the image, enhancing its display quality and performance.

Contribution : Better management of contribution form display in the case of numerous taxonomy terms

Now, similar to the My Profile webpart, the Taxonomy Field in contribution forms have been updated to handle large taxonomies more efficiently. When the taxonomy field contains over 1000 values, it will no longer load all the values at once, preventing potential performance issues and delays.

Instead, users will experience a smoother interaction by utilizing a search functionality within the taxonomy field

Powell Buddy: Translate prompt guidance into FR and DE

Prompt suggestions within Powell Buddy will now be translated for users whose language preferences are set to French or German.

This enhancement ensures that users across different linguistic backgrounds can interact with Powell Buddy in their preferred language, enhancing comprehension and usability.

Apps : Choose to let the user open the link in a device browser

In Powell App Manager, within the navigation link configuration, a new setting has been added. This setting allows users to choose whether to open links in the device browser. By default, this option is set to True to maintain the current behavior.

Behavior Inside the App:

  • When the new option is set to True, users will notice a new option in the top-right corner of the app, allowing them to open the current page in the device browser.
  • Conversely, when the new option is set to False, the option to open the current page in the device browser will not be displayed in the top-right corner of the app.
