👪 For everyone

Discussion : Be notified when someone answer to a conversation that I opened

Administrators now have the capability to choose an email template while editing the webpart that allows them to notify someone whenever a user responds to their discussion topics

Moreover, we have introduced a new email template specifically designed for this purpose, titled "Discussion - Reply Notifications." When a reply is written, this template will send an e-mail in the following format:

Global Favorites (WP) : Change the order of links as a user

In the latest update, enhancements have been made to the Global Favorites feature within the Tools section to support drag and drop functionality for ordering. Additionally, we've extended this capability to the webpart edit functionality for Global Favorites, ensuring consistency across user experiences.

Within the webpart settings, users now have the option to arrange items either through drag and drop or via pagination.

The dynamic drag and drop functionality allows users to reorder their links by simply dragging them into the desired sequence.

Easy mode to select the content displayed

Helpers to easily map your displayed properties

🧙 For administrators

Contribution Board : Manage the contributions table with the new query generator and editing panel

In this release, we've implemented an enhancement to the Contribution Board configuration, specifically focusing on search query configuration. We've introduced the Easy Query Builder, mirroring the functionality previously implemented in new search edits.

This addition facilitates the process of configuring search queries to easily create contribution board views.

Search : Add shadow to icons for aggregate tile view

We've improved the view of aggregated tiles in the Search webpart edition. Icons on aggregated content tiles now have a shadow effect, making them stand out, especially when associated documents are not clearly visible.

This enhancement improves the user experience by drawing attention to relevant content in search results and avoiding visual errors.

(Reminder) New Azure AD Powell Graph API

We inform you of an important update regarding our Azure AD application "Powell-GraphAPI"

We have redesigned our architecture and this change requires action to re-consent a new Azure AD application "Powerll Intranet".

To ensure a smooth transition and minimize disruptions, we have planned the following steps:

  • Today: We are sending you this notification to inform you of the situation and let you understand the next steps.
  • Starting on December 8th, 2023, you can select the new Azure AD Powell Intranet Graph API application from Powell Manager and consent to it with your tenant Administrator account.
  • Starting January 5, 2024, An alert message will be displayed on your intranet dashboard, visible only to administrators. This message will guide you through an automated consent procedure to facilitate the consent of the new Azure AD App "Powell Intranet."
  • From June 2024: The Azure AD application "Powell-GraphApi" will be permanently removed. We highly recommend following the consent procedure to ensure uninterrupted service continuity.

the first written documentation about Powell Manager :

🥁 Powell Manager: Deployment tool – Help Center - Powell Software (powell-software.com) [Need to be signed]

How was it built ?

Thanks to the perfect combo between AI & humans. We built a special GPT bot to transform the great "Powell Academy" videos transcripts into a "step by step guide". Then it was reworked by the product team.
