New features for everyone

1. 💖 (Reminder ) Disclaimer:
Be able to configure your disclaimer from your Sharepoint site

In the last release, we introduced new features for configuring your Disclaimer within Powell Manager.

Now, Disclaimer and its enhancements are also accessible directly in your site administration settings:

(Dislcaimer feature is enabled by administrator in the Manage available tools)

(Once enabled, Disclaimer is available for all sire owners in administration settings)

Once selected, it opens a brand-new Disclaimer settings page, allowing you to create and manage disclaimers directly on your site.

Now you can fully configure your disclaimer without having to use Powell Manager!

2. New Search/Graph view - Aggregate content tiles (Bubble)

New Bubble view "Aggregate content tiles (Bubble)" is now fully available !
You can select it from the view catalog :

This new view gives you more customizations options (all these settings are also available from Powell Manager) :

We've also improved the design, event management and video content, and added a custom CSS class thanks to your feedback;

3. Refinements webpart :  New edit form

As with the last few releases, we've enhanced front-end editing for a new webpart: Refinements

. With this update, users can now easily narrow down results using refinable options such as creation date, authors, and more, and provides greater flexibility and precision in surfacing relevant content, improving the overall user experience.

4. Taxonomy terms : Redesign search tree

This update improves the display of sub-terms within taxonomy groups, making it easier to navigate and select terms in a more organized and intuitive layout.

Sub-terms are now clearly indented and structured, helping users quickly identify and choose the right terms for their content.

Preview features only

1. Contribution campaigns

A few releases ago, we introduced contribution campaigns, and we can't wait to see the impact they'll have on the daily works of your contributors.

We plan to fully integrate this into the next release, so we're fully aware of any feedback you may have.

Remember : To get full access to campaigns, it's important to synchronize your site collection lists to get the latest version.

2. Manager : Review the deployment of Microsoft banners

Microsoft has introduced an update affecting Banner behavior on their pages. From now on, the Header feature in the page manager will be deprecated, meaning manual changes may be required to optimize Banner management on your pages.

Key Changes:

  • New Pages: The Header block will no longer be displayed on newly created pages.

  • Existing Pages with a Header: If a Header is present on an existing page, it may cause issues during synchronization.

  • Existing Pages without a Header: No Header will be displayed, and you will not be able to add one.

What to Do for Pages with an Existing Header:

  1. Remove the Header.
  2. Add a Powell Banner.

Powell will display a warning message to alert users of these changes.
