Disclaimers allow you to display informative messages or specific warnings that users must read and accept before accessing content.
This guide will walk you through how to set up and manage disclaimers to ensure clear and effective communication with your audience.
Setting up the feature
Enabing Disclaimer as a site Owner : In Powell Manager
- Select "Production"
- Turn the "Edit the disclaimer" button to "On" to activate the disclaimer edition from the settings menu
- You can also select an existing disclaimer in Powell Manager

- Open the settings menu
- Go to Manage available tools
- Select "Edit the disclaimer"
Create and manage Disclaimers as a Contributor
To access the Disclaimer feature, the user must have at least a contributor role. This role allows access to the Disclaimer panel directly from the settings menu.
Edit
- Open the settings menu
- Select Disclaimer
- Here, you can either activate an existing disclaimer or create a new one.
- Enter the title and the content of your disclaimer.
- If applicable, set a start and end date for the disclaimer's display.
- Add labels for validation and optional approval if needed.
Publish
- Define the audience by selecting either "Public" or specific AD groups
- Save your configuration once all fields are complete.
