March 2025 Powell Governance Release Note

In this release, we are focusing on performance, stability, and refining existing features to enhance the overall user experience. While there are fewer major feature evolutions this time, these improvements are designed to ensure a more reliable and efficient governance experience.

The release is planned for Tuesday, February 25th of 2025.

Display user counts in SharePoint site groups

SharePoint site reports now display the number of users in each group, providing better visibility into access and governance. With this enhancement, administrators can now see a more precise user count, allowing them to better understand group composition and ensure accurate access management.

Admin access policy enhancements

We've made improvements to admin access policies, refining policy management for better efficiency and control:

Easier Policy Management for Users: The number of admin access policies a user is associated with is now displayed in the user list. An eye pictogram button allows administrators to open a modal displaying the full list of policies linked to the user.

Execute bulk actions as unitary actions

These bulk actions can now be executed individually, giving administrators more flexibility and control over workspace management :

  • Add admin access policy
  • Apply sensitivity label
  • Apply tags
  • Turn private (teams only) on user page detail

This allows for more precise governance adjustments while simplifying administrative workflows.

These updates reinforce governance efficiency while ensuring better performance and stability. We invite you to explore the updated documentation and share any feedback to help us continue improving Powell Governance.
