Release 2025 - June 20

This cycle, we focused heavily on refining the Analytics module, making it more reliable, insightful, and easier to work with. You'll notice faster load times and improved data accuracy across key dashboards.

We also made improvements to language settings to enhance consistency and coherence across the platform—especially for multilingual users. These changes pave the way for a more unified experience regardless of your preferred language.

As always, this release includes a set of general optimizations and behind-the-scenes improvements to keep everything running smoothly.

Thanks for your continued support!

( Preview ) Multilingual experience – dynamic page-based language rendering

We’ve significantly improved language consistency across Powell intranet with a new feature:

Language settings – Display Powell labels based on page language

We’ve introduced a new language activation option for sites using Microsoft’s modern page translation system.
When enabled, this feature dynamically translates all Powell labels (navigation nodes, web part titles, actions, etc.) based on the current page language, not just the site’s default language.

⚠️ This feature requires the latest SPFx version and may slightly impact performance.

This brings a more harmonized and contextual language experience across:

  • All Powell translatable labels
  • Web part titles
  • In-web part texts
  • Navigation actions and nodes

This feature can be activated both :

In Powell Manager

  • Enable "Display content based on page language"

  • In the Sharepoint site

directly from the Feature Dashboard --> Language

Notifications – Manage default subscription channels

Admins can now predefine which notification channels are enabled by default when users subscribe to a site.

Highlights:

  • Users who rarely connect to the intranet can still receive notifications ,as long as they log in at least once.
  • Once the user logs in, Powell checks the default subscription settings set by the admin and applies them automatically via API.

In Powell Manager:

Go to Notifications and select Subscriptions, then enable default subscriptions via toggle buttons.

In front :
Go to Settings > Features Dashboard > Notifications/Subscription, then enable default subscriptions

Universal Connector – Authentication improvements

The Universal Connector Webpart now supports two major enhancements:

  • Chained Requests: Execute sequential HTTP calls via POST /api/manager/SequentialRequests, with dynamic data reuse between steps and optional error handling (continueOnError).
  • Authentication Options: New proxy settings support multiple auth methods—No Auth, Basic, Bearer, JWT, Digest, and OAuth 2.0 (via Entra Apps)—for easier and secure third-party integrations.

Coming soon:  Ready-to-use configuration for Lucca and Zendesk, with full documentation to simplify setup and usage.

Authentication note concerning Office Group Synchronization

Office 365 group synchronization is no longer supported when using legacy credential-based authentication. Please enable 'Modern Authentication' in your tenant settings to restore synchronization on Powell Manager
