This release brings major enhancements to Powell Governance campaigns, alongside improvements to user role management, reporting, and workspace administration. With a focus on new campaign scenario, and user experience, the platform continues to evolve to meet governance needs across Microsoft 365 environments.
The release has been done on Monday, July 7th of 2025
Member review campaign action
A new "Member(s) review" action is now available in campaigns. Similar to the existing guest review, it lets administrators request workspace owners to review all members (not just guests), improving access control and data privacy.
Sensitivity label requests in campaigns
You can add a sensitivity label action to your campaigns. This allows Powell Governance administrators to prompt workspace owners to apply or update sensitivity labels on their workspaces—improving compliance and data protection posture.
Workspace owners are notified and complete this task through the same interface used for other campaign actions.
Note: Only available sensitivity labels will be displayed to end-users.
End user activity log
A new "Activity log" tab is added to the end-user notification page. Users can view the status (success, failure, or in progress) of actions performed via Powell Governance:
- Workspace creation
- Workspace modification
This tab is visible to all users, regardless of their role.
Sub-administrator (read only)
A new "Read-only" sub-administrator role is available. It provides visibility on all workspaces and users linked to assigned admin access policies, but without edit rights.
Read-only sub-administrators can:
- View and download reports
- View workspaces (no creation allowed from the administration)
- View users, roles, and workspace assignments
They cannot perform any modifications.
Site design on private channel sites
Design configuration options are now extended to private channel sites, ensuring visual consistency and control even within restricted environments. This configuration is available directly from the template configuration.
Minor changes
Warning message deleting reports
When deleting a report linked to a campaign, administrators will now see a warning panel:
“This report is associated to the following campaigns: [campaign name] / [admin access policy name]. Are you sure to delete this report? Associated campaigns will be disabled but won’t be deleted.”
Once confirmed, all linked campaigns will automatically be set to inactive.
Admin access policy assignment on role edit
When updating a user’s role to sub-administrator, a modal will now prompt the administrator to assign admin access policies to that user. Multiple policies can be selected.
This is the same modal experience already available when assigning policies to workspaces in bulk.
