⭐ Foundation Pack ⭐

New webpart - Cold Content

We’re excited to introduce Cold Content, a powerful new webpart designed to make managing and creating static content on SharePoint pages incredibly simple and intuitive.

With Cold Content, you can:

  • Easily organize news, images, videos, and other static elements by dragging and dropping them exactly where you want.

  • Resize sections to fit content perfectly and adjust margins for optimal spacing.

  • Customize layouts directly in front-end mode, giving you full control without complex configurations.

  • Create Ready-To-Use (RTU) templates to save and reuse your page designs instantly across sites.

Coming soon: AI-powered content creation that lets you generate relevant, engaging content by simply typing a prompt making content creation faster and more effortless.

Note: Currently, Cold Content is not included in search indexing. We’re already working on an update that will enable indexing for Cold Content and all other webparts, planned for the next release.

Alerts - Manage from front-end administration

A new Alerts card has been added to the Feature Dashboard. Once enabled, this card gives administrators and contributors the ability to manage alerts directly from the front-end contribution interface

Multilingual experience - dynamic page-based language rendering

We’ve introduced a new language activation option for sites using Microsoft’s modern page translation system.
When enabled, this feature dynamically translates all Powell labels (navigation nodes, web part titles, actions, etc.) based on the current page language, not just the site’s default language.

⚠️ This feature requires the latest SPFx version and may slightly impact performance.

This brings a more harmonized and contextual language experience across:

  • All Powell translatable labels
  • Web part titles
  • In-web part texts
  • Navigation actions and nodes

This feature can be activated both :

In Powell Manager

  • Enable "Display content based on page language"

  • In the Sharepoint site

directly from the Feature Dashboard --> Language

Event-Hub V2 :

As part of the ongoing improvements to the Event-Hub site template, we’re introducing several new features to enhance the creation of new events.

Registration deadlines

You can now set a deadline to automatically close event sign-ups. This helps manage attendance and ensures participants register on time.

Confirmation pop-ups for unregistering

A confirmation pop-up will appear when users try to unregister from an event, preventing accidental cancellations.

Online meeting links in confirmation emails

It’s now possible to include online meeting links directly in confirmation emails, making it easier for attendees to join virtual events.

Important note for Event Hub V2 updates

  • If you are using the default Event Hub content type provided by Powell, these fields have been added automatically and the features are ready to use.

  • If you are using a custom (cloned) content type, you will need to add the new fields manually and, if required, update the webpart’s mapping to enable them.
This ensures the new options work properly in your environment.

Coming Soon

We’re working on adding waiting lists, recurring events, and a calendar view to further enhance event management.

[PREVIEW] Contribution Board - Improved Pagination for Better Performance

The Contribution Board now uses server-side pagination for faster loading times and improved scalability, replacing the previous client-side approach.

With this change, the 500-item limit on fetched elements is removed. Pagination is now handled automatically, following the Search pagination logic.

All familiar features—sorting, searching, filtering, and tab switching—remain available, while the board can now handle much larger data volumes more efficiently.

Enhanced filtering

We’ve improved the Advanced Analytics filtering options by grouping sites and sub-sites in the dropdown. This allows you to easily identify related sites and choose exactly which ones to include in your analysis, making data exploration more intuitive and precise.

📱Mobile Application📱

Default language

When users log into the mobile app for the first time, they are now prompted to fill in suggested tags, with the default language automatically set to match the first navigation node of their site.
