Manager : Update Entra Applications

We have updated our Entra ID application configuration used for authentication in Powell Manager.
The new configuration now requests only the User.Read permission, which allows the application to access basic profile information of the signed-in user.

No admin consent is required for this permission, ensuring a smoother sign-in experience for all users while maintaining secure access through Entra ID.

Cold Content  

  • Activate the image optimization by default for cards

Image optimization is now enabled by default for the content tile

  • Background opacity default value

When a new section is created, the default background now remain white with opacity 0, ensuring a clean start. The rule only applies once a user chooses a color.

  • Wrong label on responsive option

The current label reads “Set number of items per row by device,” which is incorrect. This option actually defines the height of an element per device. The label is now updated to “Set item height per device” to accurately reflect the feature.

  • Improve text truncation

Currently, text in items is truncated abruptly without indicating continuation. The truncation now allow cutting within a word if necessary, and ellipsis (…) should be added to indicate when there is more content.
 

Kudos

  • Display the full Kudos description

Currently, the description field in a Kudo is truncated in the Kudos webpart, which may prevent the full message from being visible.
 Display logic now ensure that the entire description is shown.

To maintain visual clarity and avoid excessively long messages, we introduce a character limit on the description field.

 
 

  • Display personal message instead of Kudo description on small card

Currently, on the small format of the Kudo card (e.g., on the Kudo Wall), the Kudo description is displayed. This results in the same message being repeated across multiple cards, making the wall feel less personal.

The personal message written by the sender is now displayed instead. 
Kudo description provided by the company will still be accessible, but only in the detailed view of the Kudo (when the card is opened), where it will appear as a subtitle.

 

Poll : Multilingual Support for Poll (Survey) Webpart

Poll (Survey) webpart now supports multiple languages, allowing users to view and respond to surveys in their preferred language.

 

  • Content managers can add translations for multiple languages directly in the webpart.

  • Users automatically see the poll in the language of their site or profile settings, improving accessibility and inclusiveness.

  • When a translation is not available, the default language is displayed.

This update makes surveys more engaging and accessible for multilingual audiences across your organization.

A Powell list sync is required to apply this update

Newsletter : Add image block

A new “Image” section is now available in the Newsletter Builder, allowing you to easily add standalone images as individual components within your newsletter layout.

What’s new:

  • Add images directly without needing to combine them with text or other blocks.

  • Resize, align, and customize images for improved visual design.

Analytics : Enhance clarity, consistency, and usability

This release improves the translations, data accuracy, and layout within the Advanced Analytics

  • Translations fixed: All labels (Share, Comment, Gamification, etc.) are now consistent and fully translated.

  • Data accuracy improved: Engagement percentages are now rounded correctly (e.g. 0.788% → 0.79%) for clearer reporting.

  • Layout refined: Blocks in the Traffic tab are now properly aligned for a cleaner, more professional look.

These changes make analytics clearer, more accurate, and easier to use.

Mobile Application : Inform administrators when application package is available

Powell Manager now clearly notifies administrators when a new package version is available.

 

  • A notification appears when a new package is released.

  • Clear message: “A new version of this application is now available. To access it, please generate a new package build.”

This ensures administrators always know when updates are available and can keep their environments up to date.

 

🤖 Powell Buddy 🤖


( In preview ) Contribution : AI-Powered Auto-Tagging 

To improve content consistency and discoverability, we now introduces AI-driven auto-tagging when users add or edit news through the Contribution module.

  • The system analyzes the title, description, and body of the content.

  • Our AI module performs semantic analysis and queries the SharePoint Term Store.

  • Relevant taxonomy terms (e.g. category, topic, location) are automatically suggested and pre-filled in the form.

  • Users can review, edit, or remove suggested tags before submitting.

  • If required taxonomy terms can’t be identified, an empty field is displayed.
     

Speech to Text & Text to Speech
Powell Buddy now supports voice interactions, allowing users to ask questions aloud and receive spoken responses. This feature makes engaging with agents more natural and accessible, especially for users who prefer hands-free interaction or need accommodations for visual impairments. Whether you’re multitasking or on the move, voice capabilities ensure everyone can interact with your digital workplace effortlessly.

Simplified Agent Category Management
Assigning categories and setting audience targeting for agents is now seamless. Administrators can manage both directly within the agent editing interface, eliminating unnecessary steps and reducing complexity. This improvement provides greater flexibility, making it faster to organize agents and ensure they reach the right users without extra effort.image


Live Agent Preview
Testing agents is now more efficient with real-time previews. As you edit an agent, you can immediately see how changes affect its behavior—no need to switch tabs or refresh pages. This live preview removes the guesswork, allowing users to quickly validate changes and ensure agents perform as expected before sharing them with the wider organization.image
