We are pleased to introduce the latest updates in Powell Governance, focusing on enhancing reporting capabilities, workspace management, and user experience. Beyond feature additions, this release continues our effort to keep everyday flows clearer and faster for administrators and end users.
The release is scheduled for Tuesday, November 18, 2025.
Tag Reporting
Administrators can now add Tag and Tag Value columns to reports. This makes it easier to see how workspaces are categorized, filter by tags or values, and quickly spot workspaces missing required tag values—helping keep the catalog clean and consistent
JSON Export (for Tag Data)
Report downloads now support JSON so you can export tag information that isn’t available in CSV. Choosing JSON can include Tag ID, Tag Name, Tag Value ID, and Tag Value alongside existing fields, making downstream processing and integrations simpler.
Relauch Team Creation Steps
Administrators can relaunch a specific step of a team creation that failed or raised warnings directly from the activity log detail. Each manual retry is tracked to keep the full history and there is a dedicated activity log entry for the retried step. Only one step can be relaunched at a time for a given team creation.
Email Customization
Campaign emails can be built with a default layout using customizable header and footer images and theme colors. This keeps communications aligned with brand guidelines from one campaign to the next, while the preview mode lets admins double-check the result before sending to avoid layout or styling surprises.
Document Detail Page
A new document detail page consolidates key information such as governance status and sharing details into a single view. This makes it quicker for admins to verify a document’s posture, identify potential oversharing, and act with confidence across workspaces.
Small Improvements
- New Campaign Automatic Action "Apply a Sensitivity Label": Apply a sensitivity label to a workspace directly from campaign corrective actions.
- File Sharing in SharePoint Templates: File sharing in SharePoint templates now uses the External users setting for external sharing. When a SharePoint template is associated with a Teams template, this external file-sharing configuration can be different from the team’s own setting, giving admins finer, template-level control.
These updates strengthen reporting with tag visibility, streamline provisioning, and improve day-to-day governance. Explore the changes and share your feedback to help us keep refining the experience.
