December 2025 Powell Governance release note

We are pleased to introduce the December 2025 release of Powell Governance. This release focuses on enhancing workspace management, streamlining campaign creation, and improving SharePoint site governance.

This release is scheduled for Thursday, December 11th, 2025

Campaigns Rework

We’ve reworked the campaign creation experience to make it easier and more consistent with template creation:

  • Streamlined flow: Campaigns are now created through a simplified step-by-step process, following the same logic and structure as template creation.

  • Clearer sections: Key settings (audience, schedule, notifications, content, etc.) are grouped in dedicated sections to make configuration more intuitive and reduce the risk of missing an option.

  • Easier edits: Existing campaigns can be opened in the new experience, allowing administrators to quickly review and adjust settings without having to recreate the campaign

Apply SharePoint Template to Sites Created from Private Teams Channels

Administrators can now apply a SharePoint site template to sites created from private Teams channels, just like for standard channels. When a private channel is created, its associated SharePoint site will inherit the governance rules, storage quota, tags, and other metadata defined in the selected template, ensuring consistent configuration and governance across all types of channels without additional manual setup.

Smaller Improvements

API naming convention: Workspaces created via the API now correctly inherit the configured naming conventions, ensuring consistency with spaces created through the UI.

Automation trigger at creation: A new automation trigger is available at workspace creation, in addition to the existing trigger when applying a template, allowing actions to run as soon as a workspace is created.

Template change confirmation: A new confirmation modal appears when saving template edits that may impact pending requests, showing how many are affected and letting admins delete them, cancel, or review pending approvals.

Together, these new features and improvements strengthen governance, reduce manual effort, and offer a smoother experience for both administrators and end users in Powell Governance. We invite you to explore the updates and share your feedback, and if you need more details, you can find them in our online documentation and support resources
