Introduction

The Site Analytics web part is a Powell 365 web part found on the Intranet monitoring page.

The Site Analytics web part can give you a better understanding of your Intranet; it can be used to track your intranet activity, such as the number of visits, track the use of a device or which document is the most popular, etc.

In the section below, you'll be able to see three different usages of this web part to provide you with some examples.

Settings

How to configure the Site Analytics web part:

After selecting the Site Analytics web part, the following edit form will appear. You will see how to configure each section of it below.

"Select site" configuration

Here, you can configure from which site you want to display information. You can select only one site.

"Report Scope: Site" configuration

In the "Select report scope" section, if you've decided to show the Site reports, you'll see a chart in which all your site visits will be listed. You can :

  • Choose to count all visits whether or not it's the same user, Or count only uniques visits. If the same user checks a file many times, it'll be considered as one visit.¬†
  • Select the type of chart you want.
  • Decide how you want your results displayed by selecting them in the "Template" section.
  • And/or decide to link this web part to the Powell Site picker on this page.

"Report scope: Files" configuration.

In the "Select report scope" section, if you've decided to show the Files reports, you'll see a chart in which all your site content will be listed. You can :

  • Choose to count all visits whether or not it's the same user or count only uniques visits; if the same user checks many times a file, it'll be considered as one visit.
  • Decide how you want your results displayed by selecting them in the "Template" section.
  • And/or decide to link this web part to the Powell Site picker on this page.

"Report scope: Trafic by device" configuration.

In the "Select report scope" section, if you've decided to show the traffic by device, you'll see a chart that will list all devices used to access the site you've chosen. 

  • Select the type of chart you want. You can :
  • Decide how you want your results displayed by selecting them in the "Template" section.
  • And/or decide to link this web part to the Powell Site picker on this page.
