In our Orion demo environment, the Quick Links web-part is a Microsoft web part.
This web part can be found on different pages on the Intranet, for example on the Human Resources departments page.
This web part is a big time-savior as it permits you to access useful links in one click!
You can personalize it as much as you want by giving it the title you want and selecting a relevant icon.

How to add the Quick Links web-part
To configure the Quick Links web part, you need to :
- Click the plus sign to add a new web part, where you want it on your page.
- Then search for the "Quick links" web part from the list.
Select “Quick links”
- After selecting the quick link web part, you'll see a widget that will not have any links.
How to configure the Quick Links web-part
After selecting the Quick Links web part, you can modify its layout by clicking on the pencil button on the left.
A panel will be opened in the right of your page, and you can select the display you want in the "Layout options".
You can also decide if you want to show the image in your layout and if you want to enable Sharepoint's audience targeting.
The next step to customize it is to click the link you've just created. It will open a right panel where you will be able to make modifications.
From this panel, you can change the link url, its title, its image and add an alternate text field for the thumbnail image.
For the thumbnail, you can let it auto-selected, upload a custom image or select between many icons that Sharepoint provides.
