Welcome to your Advanced Analytics command center! This dashboard is designed to help Internal Communications, HR, and Site Owners understand how employees interact with the intranet.
This article explains how to access your dashboards and how to use the global filtering features available across all reports.

🚪 How to Access the Dashboards
To view the analytics for your intranet, you need the appropriate permissions (usually Site Contributor or higher, depending on your IT setup).
To open the dashboard:
Navigate to your Powell Intranet portal.
Click on the gear icon (Open settings) located in the Powell Header at the top right of your page.
In the Settings menu that opens, scroll down to find the Analytics section.
Click on Advanced analytics.

This will open the analytics interface in a full-screen overlay, allowing you to dive into your data without losing your current page.

🎛️ Global Features: Filtering & Exporting
No matter which tab of the dashboard you are looking at, you will have access to a persistent top bar with powerful global controls. Changes made here will update the data across all your reports.
1. The Date Picker
By default, the dashboard shows data for the last 30 days. Use the date dropdown in the top right corner to adjust your timeframe:
Quick selections: Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days, or This Year.
Custom range: Select specific start and end dates to analyze a particular campaign period.
2. The Site Picker
If you have access to multiple sites across your organization's intranet, you can use the Site Picker dropdown to switch contexts.
Security by design: You will only see sites listed here that you have the permission to access.
Global vs. Local: Select "All Sites" for a holistic view of the company, or narrow it down to a specific department site (e.g., "Human Resources").
3. Custom Metadata Filters
Depending on how your IT Administrator configured the tracking engine, you may have access to custom demographic filters.
Click the Filters button to segment your audience.
For example, you can filter the entire dashboard to only show engagement from users where
Department = MarketingorCountry = France.
4. Exporting Data
Need to include these metrics in a presentation or cross-reference them in Excel?
Look for the Export button (often represented by a download arrow) located near the top of the dashboard or on specific data tables.
This allows you to download the current view as a
.CSVfile for external reporting.
